  Introduction  
The sixth "China-UK Entrepreneurship competition" was opened at University
College London on 10th April in 2013.Since the competition launched in 2006,
it is part of the PMI2 (Prime Minister Initiative II) Connect project, supported by
British Council and the Confucius Institute Initiative funded by Hanban. The com-
petition aims to encourage new commercial relationships between China and the 
UK and is intended to simulate the real-world process of entrepreneurs soliciting 
start-up funds from early-stage investors and venture capital firms. It is open to 
university teams in the UK and China and existing businesses. The Organizers of 
this competition are: Lancaster University, University College London, the Uni-
versity of Durham, China Innovation and Development Association UK, Chong-
qing and Tianjin Association for Science and Technology. The Sponsors of this 
competition: University East Anglia(UEA) and University East London (UEL). 
It is the longest established university entrepreneurship competition focused on 
China. The competition semi-finals held at LUMS on 23rd June 2013. The final 
of China UK Entrepreneurship Competition took place at the Bank of China in 
London on 9th of July 2013.
